Saxophone Tribe
There are different sections within Saxophone Tribe: ‘wavelengths’, challenges, steps, ear training, vocabulary, etc.
Feel free to explore the site and try different things.
One section is more important than the others though, that section is the “>>Steps” and steps following that.
Follow the links on the “>>Steps” page.
It looks like the other links, but goes much deeper. Once you complete the initial steps, you’ll get access to more steps that will be challenging but will help your playing. Part of this will involve listening, practicing, and acting on feedback you receive.
When you send me recordings I will usually get back to you within two days. If it has been longer than that, just send me an email as a reminder. Thanks

Dear Tribe,
I have started this great journey into playing sax with Neal a week ago. So much to do and so much to learn. I am a beginner (have been in the Facebook group for Beginners for 5 months now: https://www.facebook.com/groups/beginningsax) and I love the instrument. In Tribe I hope to not only be able to learn a lot from Neal, but also from my fellow Tribalists.

Tribalists!
Do you know that we can share music that we love? How! Go to Spotify, search for the tune you want to share with the Tribalists. Note the specifics of the tune you want us to listen to. Report the tune on Speakeasy. And the rest of the Tribalists can listenm to it through Spotify. Neal: any comments?

One small problem: “Spotify is currently not available in your country. Sign up to be first in line when Spotify launches in your country!”
Bengt says
Hej Ted!
Spotify is awailable in Sweden. Not available in e.g., the U.S.?
Ted says
Hi Bengt – the message I quoted is what we in Canada see when we go to spotify.com 🙁
Bengt says
I have some music (which I have paid for) that I would like to share with The Tribe. Is that welcome? How do I do it?
Neal says
Hey Bengt,
Thanks for wanting to share. But unless you have distribution rights, probably not something you should do. Where did you get it from?
Bengt says
I bought it through iTunes.
Neal says
You probably shouldn’t share the files then (DRM and all that). You could let us know what it is though and we could check it out if we want to purchase them too.
What is the music?
Bengt says
I was thinking about Houston Person and Ron Carter. Now’s the time/Something in common. All tracks are very good!
