2. Use a metronome while playing it to check yourself. Be especially aware of the tendency to rush certain parts.

Yep, practicing Charlie Parker is something that all sax players should probably too. It’s not easy though. The yellow (Eb) and red (Bb) Charlie Parker Omnibooks are something good to have on hand. But transcribing yourself is better of course.
