Very nice to hear some recordings of other tribal-students. Good to know that I am not alone in a progress-not-perfection situation 🙂 Shoutout to Gil; sounds nice!
The Bourree of you Neal, stands out. What sweet tone and precise playing technique. Awesome!

Love how Gil and Neal play.
So smooth. Great sound.
Kate i like yours too.
Larry Webb says
I like Gil’s sound. It is bright and clear. The notes are clearly separated and rock solid.
Neal, in Bourree, how do you transition from note to note so distinctly without any hint of tongueing? It was amazing.
Gary White says
Listened to all the recordings and compared the Let It Snow renditions as well as Bourree as played by you. The alto sax was lively and appeared to have good intonation but seemed to be a little off in smoothness while the tenor sax had both good intonation and smoothness and played a slightly what I thought was a more difficult piece.
I’m not certain but believe Bourree is from the Baroque period. It was most beautiful to listen to and the intonation, smoothness and clarity were spot on.

Tribe Recordings*
All the recordings you can learn something from them if you listen to each of them closely and more than once. They all have great tone, timing, preety, jazzy, I only heard one squeak on the live band performance-I assume his embouchure got too tight, but his sound was nice.
Neal says
There are some good things in the recordings. But there are also problems. There are problems in my recordings as well. As you continue to play, your ears get better and you notice more.
Squeaks are eliminated fairly quickly, they can often be caused by the fingers. The Lindeman exercises can help show you how important the movement of your fingers is, even for things like playing in tune. That is affected by the fingers.

Hey Neil thanks for all you do.
It was really hard to pick just one too make a comment. Kate’s sound like the way I like to play my Sax have a Chris pop to each note. Thx you all

Kate’s Let it Snow has a nice feel, and really liked the long notes, quiet, with feeling and vibrato!

Dear Neal
I listend to Kate and her song of Let It Snow. It seems by my ears she played it nicely and clear. For me it helps me to truly understand and the Lindemann process is a great tool.
Kate nicely done.
Neal thank you for the support.
Rodney Hamler says
Hello Neal;

Neal,
I wanna sound like Gil! Swings. I admit breaking my elbow and being unable to play since June, I was surprised I could still read some of the sheet music. Fire getting some scales I had known, made being able to play by an more important, but also made me want to get scales down better…first two I learned are the ones that came back with a natural feel when reading and fingering.
Bengt says
Kate! You have a nice warn tone!

Thanks Neal, that was nice of you to put the recording up, and to see and hear what others are doing.

Nice to listen to you playing “in a sentimental mood”. It is inspiring for the rest of the tribe. We should share more than we do!
